Vetis Vin'Degato vs. Absolem

Come one, come all! See the final round in the Evil Overlord tournament!

"I await your arrival, shadow-cur."

Arriving on scene, Absolem was far from shocked with the fact that he'd made it to the final round. This tournament was rather quick and didn't seem to require too much effort. His last battle was won with a single attack. He stood and waited for the other finalist to act.

"...."

Vetis flurries his cape, revealing the remains of his previous opponent, takes the heart and takes a bite out of it like an apple.

"A snack before we begin..."

*offers Absolem an arm*

"Want some?"

Absolem took a couple of steps forward and reached out a long black arm and took the piece of flesh in his own hand. He stared at if for a moment before realizing it was a human arm. He looked back up at the opponent and assumed the person before him was a cannibal. Realizing he himself would be undigestable, he didn't worry. He dropped the arm and braced himself.

Vetis regards the little man with a none-to-disappointed look, shrugs, finishes the heart, burps, and casts Void slash at the ground below Absolem's feet as he turns his cape into wings and launches himself back and up into the air.

Extending one hand before him before sliding backwards to avoid the slash, Absolem summoned his Oathbreaker to assist in his future endeavors in this fight. He then summoned ten baby shadows from the ground and braced for the next attack as the shadows creeped toward Vetis.

The Void Slash hits the ground where Absolem's feet just were, sending dust and shrapnel in the direction the wave was sent. Vetis flies up higher into the air, scanning the field. Taking note of the shadow creatures, Vetis activates Void Spheres and swoops low over them, speeding up the spheres so they're nothing more than a faint black blur moving chaotically around him.

Absolem saw his creatures being swooped down upon. They had enough sense to sink down into the ground and dodge the attack. At least most of them did. Four of the ten were defeated while the others used shadow sink. The others remained underground waiting for an optimal moment to arise. Absolem himself wretched over allowing him to transform into the guardian. A dark, gruesome being erupted from his spine, acting as a new isolation of his body.

Absolem flew into the air with Vetis and once again awaited his next move. No signs of hesitation crossed his demeanor as he braced himself.

"So, first time fighting an alien, eh? Well then, I suppose it's in order to tell you a little something about us. See, our species didn't come here to this planet to fight. We didn't even come here to WIN. We came here because we want to CONTROL. These people, they have no clue what it's like to lead, what it's like to do what is necessary to ensure supremacy, and I severely doubt that one such as you could do so either. I give you this chance to concede, to let the better man take the role of leader. That doesn't mean I won't fight you, no I relish the chance to fight someone actually worth their armor, but this is not just a matter of strength. This is politics, a field of which I have no doubt you are sorely lacking..."

Vetis ends his monologue, arranging the Void Spheres in an octagonal perimeter around him, then activating Eternal Dragon Scales, adding a faint rainbow sheen to his aquamarine scales, and strikes a godly pose.

Ab was sickened by this creatures inability to regard any of his own secrets. Willingly disposing information that could be used against oneself is not something a true ruler should make habit of. Or maybe it was the fact that the man before him was simply cocky or arrogant. Or if the thing before him was really even a man at all. But the plus side was that he too had no previous knowledge of Absolem. Therefore, he was now handicapped.

Absolem used his energy to spawn a Dimensional rift in his own two hands causing it to be carried rather than thrown. He flew toward Vetis with black hole in hand. Simultaneously, the guardian swelled with energy as a giant fist emerged from his tentacles, aiming for the body of the opponent in front of him. The pressure was on.

Vetis uses Void Slash at Absolem, angling himself at his opponent, then launches himself at Absolem just behind his Void Slash.

Thanks to the extra magical defense his guardian, Absolem was able to fly straight through the slice and meet with Vetis on the other side. Black hole in hand, he was doing area damage as the fist of the guardian finished its swing to the body of Vetis.

The Titan Fist gets dented, the Eternal Dragon Scales shining even brighter than before. The black hole does minimal damage to Vetis, and the scales dull in color, but hold strong. Right behind the Void Slash, Vetis grapples Absolem so that his body is towards the ground, then activates Void Lock (2 enemy turns)

Absolem saw the threat approaching him and decided ethereal would be a better path to take than allowing his opponent to grab him. Allow his for to pass through his own body and plummet like a Stone, he decided to take a moment to rest and store energy rather than retaliating immediately.

"....."

Vetis creates a huge crater where he lands, a minor earthquake further damaging the coliseum. Debris is everywhere, flying every which-way and strewn about the field in general. There are large chunks of rock jutting out from the ground, nearly a full head taller than Vetis himself.
Vetis is imobile.
The Void Spheres dissipate.

This was perfect timing for Absolem. His opponent was defeating himself. Absolem became hasty to finish the battle and began focusing all of his energy into an ultimate attack. Darkness would soon awaken. He curled himself up in the process.

Vetis is surprised to see that his foe did not lay defeated under him, and anxiously looked behind him. Seeing his opponent still above him, almost mocking him with his lack of expression to how close he had just come to death, Vetis decides to do something stupid and dangerous. Vetis jumps out of the hole he created, and transforms into his Full-Klaldin form. Vetis, now nearly frothing with anger in his less-than-emotionally-controlled form, uses Roar of The Chained at Absolem.

At last his charging was complete and beams of darkness poured from the skies in hundreds, each doing devastating damage capable of rendering an undefended opponent dead. As his opponent crawled out of the ground, Absolem entered his Dark Embrace to allow his body to cocoon itself while he rested with the beams destroying everything around them. From within the cocoon he felt a strong vibration. This didn't worry Absolem for the game was almost over anyways.

Vetis makes a split-second decision, and activates an extra-power Void-Rock Fist below him, and launches himself into the air towards Absolem at breakneck speed. Vetis hits Absolem's cocoon, and uses Voidfang on it, tearing the top half off. He then curls his tail around the rest of the cocoon, and tightens his coils as fast as he can.

Absolem immediately opened his eyes as soon as his cocoon was touched. He immediately opened his eyes and reached out for the chest of Vetis activating his Dark Firaga at point blank range. At the same time his Guardian grew bigger, forming the Protector and with both limbs stabbed at the reptilian being before them. This held him still while the beams of energy pelted him in the back at least twice in a short moment.

Vetis recognizes he is beat, but is annoyed that his opponent thought he could hold him there simply by using a dinky shadow. He grabs the Protector by the used limbs with his left hand, and as Absolem uses Dark Firaja, he right-hooks Absolem's arms with all he has.

Absolem watches as the reptile before him is fried from the power above. Should he have dodged the first beam he may have lived longer. Oh well... The still corpse sat upon the cocoon of Absolem with its grip still intact. He decided to pry the hands off. The body was still there and the two were rapidly falling toward the ground. They reached the ground with a major impact on the surface. From there Absolem kicked the lifeless lizard off of him and went to claim his prize.
